Day 61 Report

.Day 61 - 26/7/07 - Onto Louth

There were quite few shallow bits today but I still managed 41km by 3.00 o'clock to arrive at Louth.

Sundown is important here as all the tourists go and watch the sun reflect off the monument where it shines towards a house where a guy directed it in memory of his wife.

Today I saw a platypus! It was sunning itself on a log just above the water and slid off as I approached. This is the first time I have seen one in the wild.

The river got a little bid murkier at times but is still looking quite clear.

This took about half an hour to drag myself through Lunch stop. Nowhere reasonable to
get out so I used a log
Stuck on the bottom again
Driving to the rivers edge to meet Steve
and set up camp for the night
Great campsite beside the Darling Driving down the open road yet again
